Long Serving, Friendly, Dedicated and Conscientious Staff.

Our staff turnover is very low and we consider it to be one of our strengths.  The vast majority of our staff have been at Glebe House for a very long time.  As a result, we all have the benefit of getting to know our residents very well as individuals and they get to know us too.  Wendy, our Housekeeper has been working here at Glebe House for the last 17 years, we wanted to know why Wendy has stayed so long and what keeps her motivated?   Here's what Wendy had to say:
'I live locally and only work part time as I look after my lovely grandchildren as well.  There are four members of staff in the house keeping department and what stands out most to me is that we work as a team, we all share a common goal of keeping the cleaning throughout the home to the highest possible standards.  All the staff that work at Glebe House are so warm and friendly, we all help each other out. No two days are ever the same and that's the way I like it.  I feel very proud to work in such a beautiful setting; the rooms are beautiful, light and airy. My favourite thing about being a housekeeper is chatting to residents, making them laugh and doing the little things that make a difference to their lives. I love interacting with the residents, I love hearing about their lives. It's the residents that make my job so interesting and it's why I've stayed here for so long. I will be here for a few years yet'!
