A fascinating insight to the remarkable history of Chaldon Village

22 November 2016

Liz Bonsall and her colleague Meredith from the Chaldon History Group came to take our Residents through the ages in Chaldon focusing on the church the families of the village and Glebe House's history. They shared several pictures of the historic houses of Church Lane and Doctors Lane from the 1920's to 2015. The Village Hall was built as a memorial after the First World War and is still being updated with the names of local soldiers who had lost their lives. Chaldon has always been a village for wealthy farmers, the parish and local war heroes. This was a fascinating insight to the remarkable history of Chaldon Village.
