Beautiful Words of Love.

 Chris Meredith, poet and public speaker, graced us with his thought provoking beautiful words, capturing our emotions of love. Chris is a published poet with his first anthology, 'Words of my life' which he shared extracts with our residents. Below is a poem he wrote, inspired by his visit to our Home.

When you love someone more than yourself

Sometimes we think of things we have done
Like kissing a sailor on land, what fun
Or singing to ourselves a country ballad
With a bit of western for music balance
-
But when it comes to outright love
The story I heard of Alex was indicative of
A world of beauty so rarely seen
That nothing ugly can come between
-
Life is full of lessons we learn at different speeds
How to care and meet our loved one's needs
To love someone more than we love ourselves
Is a hidden gift from hidden spells
