Beryl's outing at Buckingham Palace

Beryl, 93, is a member of the Blind Veterans and the tea party marked the charity's 100th anniversary.  Beryl served in the voluntary Aid Detachment in World War II.

Beryl said "It was such a marvellous day, we enjoyed the dainty sandwiches and listening to the military band playing." It was a lovely sunny day, perfect for the occasion. The garden party was hosted by the Countess of Wessex. Beryl added that the staff at Glebe House were brilliant, helping her to look her best for the day.
