Our activities session include using an iPad, the amazing thing about the iPad is that it is a natural extension of the normal interface between the hand and the brain.
We find from experience, the best way of introducing an iPad to our Residents is to not mention that it is a computer and to simply say, 'Have you seen this?' As eyesight fades and it becomes harder and harder to see the printed page, what a wonderful facility the iPad offers to their user to simply expand the type to a size that is easy for them to read. How easy it is swipe a hand across the pictures for viewing to move along to the next one. Our Residents love the iPad, the benefits are endless, technology at its best.
